Work With Us
The connection is not background
to the work — it is the work
We're looking for tutors who believe that belonging comes before engagement, and engagement before attainment. If you've worked with vulnerable young people and want to do it again, with intention, we'd like to hear from you.

What tutoring with us looks like
Small groups
You work with 2 to 3 students per session — getting to know each one and building real continuity over time.
Daily sessions
One hour of English and one hour of Maths per group, five days a week during term time.
Consistent groups
You teach the same students every day. Continuity and trust are built over time, not one-off sessions.
Structured curriculum
Lesson content is provided and standardised. Your focus is on delivery and rapport, not planning from scratch.
Pre-session briefings
Before each session, you receive a briefing with key context — strengths, gaps, and opportunities.
Meaningful work
These students have often been let down by the system. You have a chance to be the adult who doesn't.
Who We're Looking For
Tutors who show up differently
We don't need the most qualified tutor in the room. We need the one who will sit with a student through silence, who will notice when something isn't right, and who believes that a fifteen-year-old who hasn't been in school for two years still has something brilliant in them.
Some sessions will be about building trust rather than covering content — and this is not a failure. It is the job.
You Might Be Right If
- ✓You have experience working with vulnerable young people in schools or alternative provision
- ✓You believe that belonging comes before engagement, and engagement before attainment
- ✓You are patient, warm, and honest — even when it's difficult
- ✓You understand that progress is not always linear and can hold that without frustration
- ✓You are confident teaching Maths or English (or both) at KS3/KS4 level
- ✓You take safeguarding seriously and understand your responsibility
- ✓You are punctual, reliable, and consistent — students depend on you showing up
